Here are some of the more Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What age do I have to be to enter?
    • You must be a least 18 years of age as of the 30th November 2020.
  • When is the closing date for entries?
    • Closing date for 2020 is the 4th of November.
  • How many times can I enter?
    • You can enter twice this year (2020) and each of your artworks will be judged individually on its merits.
  • How will my artworks be sold?
    • You can provide a website address or facebook link in your entry which takes prospective purchasers to your site to complete the sale.  We will also provide any prospective purchasers with your email address (should your artwork be for sale) and they can get in touch with you directly.
  • Do I need to be living on the West Coast?
    • The competition is open to all artists on the West Coast Te Tai o Poutini, or with a connection to the West Coast.  For those not currently residing on the West Coast, there is a section in the entry form asking you to explain your connection.
  • What is the maximum image size I can upload?
    • Please keep images to less than 5 megabytes.  These images will be displayed on the website after entries close so they will be compressed to keep page loading fast.  If you intend to compress the images yourself, please aim for a maximum image size of 2500px (width) and / or 1400px (height).
  • What size are the finished (finalists) panels?
    • Panels will be a maximum of 1.5m on the longest side.
